Allyson Smith was named Georgia Tech Athletic Hospitality Assistant Manager in August of 2022.

Allyson started at Georgia Tech in August of 2021 as a Game Day Floor Manager on the south end of Bobby Dobb Stadium. Amidst the transition from football season to basketball season, Allyson took on the role of an intern for GTAH. Her duties include creating graphics and flyers, maintaining Georgia Tech Athletics social media, and corresponding with FANginners before, after, and during sporting events.

As she spent more time working within the department, she was able to grow roots. Allyson found people she genuinely enjoyed working with while doing work that was fulfilling and meaningful. So when a vacancy became available for the Hospitality Assistant Manager position, it was a natural next step for her. She looks forward to implementing meaningful changes in the premium spaces of Georgia Tech and instilling motivation, hard work, and team building into the game-day staff FANgineers.

Before coming to Georgia, Allyson was a born and raised Jersey Girl and cheerleader. She cheered for over twelve years, completing four years on the varsity team, earning the title of Captain during her Jr. and Sr. years of high school, and competed as an All-Star cheerleader. She also played softball and threw the shotput, javelin, and discus. Allyson moved to Atlanta, GA, in 2018 and was interning in the tv and film industry through her college years. This May, she received her bachelor's degree from Georgia State University, where she studied film and media production and hospitality management. At Georgia Tech, she has combined her love for media and sports by leading projects that allow her creative freedom.
