The Georgia Tech Athletic Hospitality (GTAH) Internship is designed for individuals interested in athletic event management and hospitality to gain a hands-on experience. Interpersonal, communication, organization, leadership, and multitasking skills are required and should be further developed throughout the internship. This experience will allow the intern an opportunity to work in the related industry in his/her future career.
The Hospitality Intern plays a vital role in the success of the hospitality program by supporting the Hospitality Manager and Hospitality Assistant Manager. The intern contributes to the success of Georgia Tech Athletics' football, men's basketball and baseball premium seating operations and gameday management. Interns work closely with donors, GT Athletic Department Staff, and GTAH gameday staff.

About the position
HOW MANY POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Two positions
WHEN WOULD I WORK?
GTAH Interns are required to work all Georgia Tech home football games. For men's basketball games, baseball games, and special events you will rotate with the other intern for gamedays. Both interns are expected to work the same amount of games each season.
Additional hours during football season includes 6-8 hours on game-week Fridays for suite stocking & setup and 3-6 hours on game-week Sundays for suite re-stocks. Interns will rotate with each other on Sundays but must be flexible/work together on Fridays. Both interns are expected to work similar amounts of hours each month for in-office work.
HOW MANY HOURS WOULD I WORK ON GAME DAY?
This varies from game to game, but you can generally plan to work 10-12 hours each football game. Interns will be required to arrive at the stadium 3-3.5 hours before kickoff time and stay up to 2.5 hours after game completion for postgame duties.
Basketball hours are typically 4-6 hours per game while Baseball hours can range from 5-8 hours per game.
WHAT IS THE BREAK?
Each intern will have one 30-minute break per football and baseball game. Basketball games will allow for a 15-minute break. You may use this time to watch the game, get food or simply find a place to sit down outside of the premium areas. But remember, even on break you are still representing the Hospitality Department and are expected to always maintain a hospitable attitude with all fans.
